HAZARD HUNTING WALKDOWN

The purpose of this activity is to actively engage JGC and Subcontractor Supervisors in the identification of hazards and determining mitigation measures.  This aims to develop skills and knowledge of the field supervisors relevant to health, safety, and the environment.  Supervisors are not only hunting for hazards, but also spot and recognize good safety practices of workers at site.

SPECIAL HOUSEKEEPING AND ACCESS MAINTENANCE TEAMS (SHAT)

The SHAT is a group of specially appointed members from all Subcontractors on site.  The JGC project management has granted the SHAT the authority to carry out housekeeping in all corners of the project and ensure all work access and walkways are clear.  SHAT members are identified with a white vest.

PRE-START TALK CHAMPIONSHIP

In order to motivate the pre-start talk leaders of the project to continuously improve the quality of their talks and meetings, a pre-start talk championship has been established.  The competing pre-start groups are being nominated by the Subcontractors to represent their company and JGC coaches and support each group.  The pre-start groups compete in several elimination rounds until the best groups reach the final and qualifying round.  The winners are awarded with bags, cash vouchers, a trophy, and pre-start champion vests.
