JGC is committed to protect the Environment and its sustainability and this is clearly defined and explained in their annual Environmental & Social Reports. JGC projects worldwide are implementing their Environmental Management Plan (EMP) aligned to ISO 14001 Standard wherein the company is certified and in compliance with respective client objectives and with regulatory and statutory requirements.
PROJECT ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENTS
The IGD HABSHAN 5 Project Environmental Management Program and its implementation is a clear indication of the strong commitment starting from the Project Management to the workers. Environmental Objectives and Targets were communicated to all personnel at the site and the level of performance is closely monitored and evaluated. The IGD HABSHAN 5 Project Management Team is responsible for providing guidance to their subcontractors in the implementation of their respective Environmental Management Systems, following the plans, procedures and requirements set by the company.
The construction phase activities of the Habshan 5 project can potentially expose employees to a variety of occupational health hazards. These include various environmental factors or stresses that can be classified as chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic and psycho-social.
The Project shall be constructed and commissioned in accordance with the following requirements:
Compliance with Project Environmental requirements during the construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning phases. Raising the level of awareness among the Project team and the subcontractors to avoid and minimize adverse Environmental impacts in the area surrounding the Project site during all phases of the Project.

"Develop Environmental Friendly Atmosphere
at the Project site".
ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL PLAN
|SPILL PREVENTION AND RESPONSE PLAN|
The plan will address hazardous wastes and specify the requirements for separation, storage and transport including disposal routes.
The plan provides the necessary equipment to implement the “Spill Prevention and Response Plan”.
ENVIRONMENTAL TRACKING REGISTER
|JGC will immediately notify through proper channels when a government inspector of any type requests entry onto the Project.||All recommendations/action items arising from shortfalls, gaps, or deficiencies identified by audits or through other means such as HSE Assessments (FEED and EPC, HAZID, ENVID, SIMOPS, HAZOP, HSEIA, PHSER) will be communicated and addressed.|
