JGC HSSE WEEKLY Management Walkthrough
JGC implements the Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) Weekly Management Walkthrough aligned to its HSSE Plans and Procedures and to the requirements of the Company. This Management HSSE Walthrough aims to ensure that all plans and programs, including the site execution, are in compliance with the applicable and current HSSE legislation, regulations, standards and Company requirements.
JGC believes that the effectiveness of the Weekly Walkthrough and Inspection Program leads to the achievement of the following objectives:
- Construction operations and activities are executed in accordance with the established HSSE Plans, Procedures and Method Statements to ensure compliance with applicable and current HSSE legislation, regulations, standards and Company requirements
- HSSE Plans and Procedures are regularly audited, reviewed and updated to keep abreast of applicable and current HSSE legislation, regulations, standards and industry best practices
- Achieving HSSE Performance Standards in accordance with agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and its continual improvement through the setting of higher KPIs.
BARZAN HSSE Weekly Management Walkthrough
In compliance with JGC HSSE Plans and Program, the Barzan Onshore Project is carryingout the HSSE Weekly Management Walkthrough every Sunday participated in by Company Representatives, JGC and Subcontractors. Prior to the conduct of the weekly HSSE Management Walkthrough, the Barzan SHE&S department releases a specific / identified weekly "hit list" posted and discussed during the tool box talks day before the scheduled walkthrough which gives high emphasis to the good and bad practices highlighted in the hit list.
In identifying the weekly hit list, BARZAN SHE&S Management considers the number of Job Safety Observations generated from several observations submitted by all workers, Safety Staff and Management.
Weekly hitlist being used for the HSSE Weekly Management Walkthough was discussed to all JGC Staffs including top management every Saturday. The contents of the ‘Hit List’ below were discussed with the aid of the ‘Good & Bad Practice’ flip charts making everyone recognize the good and bad practices.

|JGC HSSE Management Team, headed by the HSSE Manager, lead the Management Walkthrough. Members of the HSSE Management Team will be assigned to respective groups to guide them during the Management Walkthrough||Briefing of the identified weekly hit list was carried for each team composed of different members including representatives from the Company, the Construction team from JGC and Subcontractors||De-briefing at site after the walkthrough is carried out by the leader who is a member of JGC HSSE Management Team before proceeding for a short meeting together with other groups to summarize the weekly observations.|
